The Southern American nation’s export of aluminium scrap reveals growth during 2017-19, though it remains an underrated market, as the volume of export recorded was 21,383 tonnes and foreign revenue generation stood at $16.30 million. The forecasted aluminium scrap export for 2020 has been analysed at 9993 tonnes and earnings to reach $6.80 million. When the evaluated export volume and earnings of 2020 get added to the existing three tears it reflects 31,376 tonnes and $23.10 million respectively.
Peru’s has recorded aluminium scrap export in 2017 with 4660 tonnes, which resulted with earnings of $3.69 million, while in 2018 the aluminium scrap export surged with growth by 62.55%, as the export volume climbed to 7575 tonnes and earnings also rose to $5.93 million.
In 2019, the aluminium scrap export saw growth by 20.76%, as the export volume inclined to 9148 tonnes and the earning stood at $6.68 million.
The projected scrap export for 2020 has been evaluated with up-turn by 9.23%, as the export volume to reach at 9993 tonnes and earnings to remain at $6.80 million.
Peru’s major trading nations for the export of aluminium scrap are Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, India, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, South Korea, Taiwan, USA, etc.
