Beiersdorf and Nussbaum are reportedly producing aerosol cans from 100 per cent post-consumer recycled aluminium, which the dup plans to roll out to the market by the end of 2021. The innovative aerosol packaging will be produced entirely out of used beverage cans.

The German-based skincare firm is planning to gradually make the products more sustainable by utilising recycled aluminium, amongst different initiatives.
Norbert Menzel, Principal for Packaging Technology, said: “With our pioneering partnership with Nussbaum, we are triggering a cross-industry rethink all along the value chain and are reducing our carbon footprint relating to aerosol cans by up to 90 percent.”
Andreas Fliss, Global Procurement Director Packaging & 3PM, commented: “Long-term partnerships and close collaborations are essential to drive the development of environmentally friendly packaging solutions.”
