One day, several voices: Unlimited impact – Women With Metal 2025 is back with its 3rd edition

EDITED BY : 4MINS READ

“There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish." – Michelle Obama

October 8th, 2025 – A day that will be for the women and by the women. So mark your calendar, cause the Women With Metal 2025 Conference is coming back once again this year to move, motivate and highlight achievements unlocked by women in the ALuminium industry. Started in 2023 by Kirsty Davies-Chinnock, the event has not only been a trend setter but also a stage where stereotypes have been crumbled and powerful stories have risen, reminding us all that strength and resilience aren’t defined by gender but by grit, vision, and courage.

Yet, progress doesn’t come without challenges. Many still face gender bias, underrepresentation, and barriers to senior positions. Too often, women in this field recount experiences of being underestimated or overlooked simply because of their gender. That’s where the Women With Metal Conference comes in.

Important details about the event

The event will take place at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Birmingham, and will begin with a welcome speech by Kirsty Davies-Chinnock followed by motivational talk by Steph Snade whose mission through Limitless Leadership is to equip women with authenticity, confidence, and impact.

A stellar lineup of speakers will follow –

Sally Twisleton –After nearly two decades in manufacturing, including senior roles at Rolls-Royce—she decided to take her wealth of experience in engineering and channel it into something new. Today, as the CEO of Assemble Coaching, Sally helps organisations build truly inclusive and collaborative teams. Her mission is simple yet powerful, to unlock leadership potential in others and create workplaces where every voice has the chance to be heard and valued.

Katy Deacon –A role model who has turned her own challenges into a powerful mission. Instead of letting obstacles define her, Katy used them as fuel to champion change. Today, through her work at Towards Belonging Limited, she is dedicated to making engineering more inclusive, ensuring that accessible design and innovation go hand in hand. Her journey is a reminder that true progress comes when we design a future where everyone belongs.

Sally Twisleton –  She began her career as an engineer and spent 18 years building her expertise in manufacturing, including senior positions at Rolls-Royce. Along the way, she discovered her real passion lay not just in engineering systems, but in empowering the people behind them. Today, as CEO of Assemble Coaching, Sally helps organisations create inclusive and collaborative teams, while inspiring individuals to recognise and unlock their true leadership potential.

Dr Eun Sun Godwin – A management and organisation scholar at the University of Wolverhampton, Eun Sun’s research tackles equality, diversity, and inclusion. Her recent projects focus on inclusive digitalisation for disabled people in manufacturing.

Jeremy Stockdale – CEO of Ylead, he carries with him two decades of leadership experience built in the banking world. But what really defines him isn’t just his professional track record it’s his passion for creating workplaces where equity and inclusion are more than ideals, they’re lived realities. At Women With Metal 2025, Jeremy will be talking about gendered communication, exploring how the words we choose every day can either reinforce barriers or open doors to true understanding and collaboration.

And many such other stalwarts will be gracing the event with their powerful stories.

Together, these voices will weave a powerful symphony of leadership, innovation, and empowerment. Every keynote, every panel, every shared story reminds us of one simple truth - the world is finally beginning to recognise what women have always known. They’re not just participants in this industry but are shaping its future, setting the benchmarks, and proving every day that leadership, creativity, and courage know no gender.

As the conference unfolds, it sets the stage not just for dialogue, but for action, creating a world where women are not just included, but celebrated as leaders, innovators, and catalysts of progress. It’s a collective rising, where laughter mixes with learning, where energy meets purpose, and where stereotypes aren’t just questioned—they’re left behind for good.

So brace yourself cause the sound you are about to hear is not glass ceilings cracking, but women taking flight and they’re soaring higher than ever before.
