The facility will have an annual production capacity of about 2 million units. The plant is expected to be built on a 100-acre land. Ola Electric may begin production in the next 18-24 months.
The company will compete with players like Bajaj Auto, Hero MotoCorp-backed AtherEnergy, Hero Electric and others that manufacture electric two-wheelers.
In August, Ola Electric announced its plans for launching an electric two-wheeler soon.
In May, Ola Electric acquired Amsterdam-based Etergo BV for an undisclosed amount.
