Australia Anti-Dumping Commission (ADC) under Australia's Department of Industry, Innovation and Science has concluded an investigation on alleged dumping of aluminium extrusions imported from VietNam and Malaysia.

The dumping margin for Vietnamese cooperative exporters ranges from 7.7 per cent to 18 per cent and margins for non-cooperative entities at 34.9 per cent.

In August 2016, ADC started an investigation into dumping and countervailing duty on aluminium extrusions imported from VietNam and Malaysia following an application lodged by Capral Limited, a manufacturer of aluminium extrusions in Australia.

The application alleged that the goods had been exported from VietNam and Malaysia to Australia at prices less than their standard value as they received countervailing subsidies from the respective governments.

The investigation examined exports during the period from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016, to determine dumping or subsidisation allegations. Details of the Australian market were examined from July 1, 2012 to find out any possible business injury.
