{alcircleadd}The suspension, which took effect on July 22, 2026, was imposed by NGX Regulation Limited under the Exchange’s Rules for Filing of Accounts and Treatment of Default Filing, following the expiry of the prescribed cure period granted to the company. According to the Exchange, issuers that do not file their required financial statements within the stipulated timeframe are subject to trading suspension until compliance is achieved.

In its market notice, NGX has stated, "Trading license holders and the investing public are hereby notified that pursuant to Rule 3.1, Rules for Filing of Accounts and Treatment of Default Filing, (Default Filing Rules), which provides that if an issuer fails to file the relevant accounts by the expiration of the cure period1, the exchange will: a) send to the issuer a second filing deficiency notification within two business days after the end of the cure period; b) suspend trading in the issuer’s securities; and c) notify the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the market within 24 hours of the suspension."
The regulatory action means investors will be unable to buy or sell Aluminium Extrusion Plc shares on the NGX until the outstanding audited accounts are filed and the Exchange restores trading. The move is intended to uphold market transparency and ensure investors have access to up-to-date financial information before making investment decisions.
