National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) has extended the growth of its aluminium ingot and aluminium product prices for the third time in a row, albeit lower than the previous times, with effect from November 1. NALCO has raised its aluminium ingot price by INR 600 per tonne on November 1, compared with the hike of INR 3,400 per tonne on October 17. Hence, the company’s aluminium ingot price is now hovering at INR 158,150- 161,650 per tonne.

With the latest hike, NALCO’s aluminium billets price has come in at INR 161,600-164,250 per tonne, registering an increase of INR 600 per tonne from INR 161,000- 163,650 per tonne.
NALCO’s aluminium wire rods price is now at INR 161650- 166000 per tonne versus INR 161,050-165,400 per tonne as of October 17.
Like any Indian aluminium producers, NALCO generally links the prices of its products to the three-month futures of aluminium on the London Metal Exchange, which between October 16 and November 1 displayed a downtrend of US$ 31 per tonne ranging between US$ 1865.50 per tonne and US$ 1834.50 per tonne.
NALCO’s aluminium products and alumina account for nearly two-thirds of the company’s gross topline, while the sales of chemicals contribute to the rest. NALCO manufactures wire rods, billets, coils, and chequered sheets.
