EDITED BY : 1MINS READ

Hydro is supplying Hydro CIRCAL low-carbon aluminium for more than 100 large building projects.

The company has secured large building projects in 10 countries across two continents with Hydro CIRCAL. Hydro CIRCAL, which is made with recycled, post-consumer aluminium scrap, will reduce 25,000 tonnes of CO2.

The projects range from 10 to 400 tonnes of aluminium that would meet low-carbon product demand.

“This milestone highlights the potential for low-carbon aluminium products in the building industry. With strong focus on execution, our team has secured and delivered solutions for a variety of building projects. We also have new projects in the pipeline,” said Henri Gomez, Head of Building Systems in Hydro.

“From thriving business hubs to a total revamp for iconic buildings, the span of the project we have delivered is great. We have been able to demonstrate that it is possible to use post-consumer recycled aluminium and drastically reduce energy consumption, while still producing high-quality products,” said Gomez.
