
Monadelphous Group Limited, a leading Australian engineering group providing construction, maintenance and industrial services, has been awarded new construction and maintenance contracts by both Rio Tinto and BHP in the resources sector. The contract has a combined value of approximately $60 million.
Monadelphous has received three three-year contracts for Rio Tinto for the delivery of sustaining capital projects across various mine sites and port operations throughout Western Australia’ Pilbara region. The agreement covers structural, mechanical and piping, electrical, instrumentation and controls, and non-process infrastructure projects.
The company has also secured a three-year contract with Rio Tinto for mechanical, electrical and access maintenance services for fixed plant shutdowns at Rio’s Gove operations in the Northern Territory.
This contract also comes with a two-year extension option. Gove operation is a leading producer of bauxite and has been providing the aluminium industry.
