He provided a concise overview of the city, highlighting its historical significance as a revolutionary area, abundant natural resources, and status as a burgeoning development hub. Furthermore, Mayor Zhang emphasised Luliang's position as the nation's foremost producer in key sectors such as coking coal, coking, alumina, and clean-flavour liquor.

Luliang's move towards social & economic advancement

Also present were Xu Feng, Vice General Manager of Chinalco Group, and Ren Zhong, Executive Vice Mayor and Standing Committee Member of the Municipal Committee. In recent years, Luliang has prioritised the "985" key industrial chain as a starting point, orchestrating the transformation and enhancement of the traditional "one black and two white" industries while nurturing the growth of the "two big and three new" emerging sectors.

Additionally, the city has strategically positioned itself in anticipation of future industries, fostering the cultivation and advancement of new high-quality productivity. This concerted effort aims to propel the transition and growth of the resource-based economy, yielding significant outcomes.

Key economic indicators such as tax revenue, general public budget revenue, and GDP consistently rank Luliang among the top performers in the province. As a prominent figure in the non-ferrous metals industry, Chinalco Group has been pivotal in advancing the new materials sector for aluminium and magnesium in Luliang. This underscores the sense of duty inherent in central enterprises.

Chinalco to bolster Luliang's development

It is anticipated that Chinalco Group, as a key partner in Luliang's development, will bolster its confidence in Luliang's development, expediting the construction of the ChalCO China Run Xing County Phase II project. This will further catalyse the high-quality development of the local economy. Luliang remains committed to fostering an optimal environment conducive to fostering mutual benefits and achieving win-win outcomes for local enterprises and Chinalco Group.

Dong Jianxiong expressed gratitude to Luliang for their unwavering concern and support towards the Chinalco project across all levels. He pledged to leverage the strengths of central enterprises more effectively, actively engaging in Luliang's economic and social development.

Furthermore, he emphasised the shared commitment to seeking additional cooperation opportunities, particularly in areas such as the allocation of mining resources, aluminium extraction from coal, optimisation and integration of bauxite resources and ensuring secure construction land. Dong Jianxiong affirmed his dedication to elevating the collaboration between the two parties to new heights, inspiring a shared vision of a prosperous future.
