LME aluminium opened at US$2,184.5 per tonne on Monday, with its high and low at US$2,210.5 per tonne and US$2,184 per tonne, respectively, before closing at US$2,207 per tonne, up US$23.5 per tonne or 1.19 per cent.
The LME aluminium live price chart experienced escalating aluminium price trends on September 11, with the LME aluminium cash bid price and the LME aluminium official price gaining US$21 per tonne or 0.98 per cent and US$21.50 per tonne or 1 per cent, respectively, to officially close at US$2,153 per tonne and US$2,154 per tonne.
{alcircleadd}If the LME aluminium price on September 4, last week, is taken into account, we can measure a Week-on-Week spike of US$4.50 per tonne or 0.21 per cent, as the price was US$2,149.50 per tonne.
London Metal Exchange graph displayed that the 3-month bid price and the 3-month offer price have both heightened by US$14 per tonne or 0.64 per cent to stop at US$2,194 per tonne and US$2,195 per tonne.
The December 24 bid price and the December 24 official price have both jumped up the graph by S$11 per tonne or 0.47 per cent to settle at US$2,338 per tonne and US$2,343 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock recorded a grand fall of 3,600 tonnes or 0.72 per cent to finally settle at 495,875 tonnes. Live warrants stood at 228,475 tonnes, with no notable change at all. Cancelled warrants accumulated 267,400 tonnes, losing 1.33 per cent or 3,600 tonnes as well.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price halted at US$2,205.44 per tonne, up US$11.02 per tonne or 0.5 per cent.
SHFE aluminium price
Today, on September 12, the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) aluminium benchmark price has soared by US$37 per tonne or 1.39 per cent to settle at US$2,691 per tonne. If we consider the SHFE aluminium price on September 5, which was US$2,642 per tonne, we can see a sufficient Week-on-Week increase of US$49 per tonne or 1.85 per cent.
Overnight, the most-traded SHFE 2310 aluminium contract opened at RMB 19,180 per tonne, with its lowest and highest at RMB 19,140 per tonne and RMB 19,245 per tonne before closing at RMB 19,225 per tonne, up RMB 145 per tonne or 0.76 per cent.
SHFE 2307 aluminium added RMB 595 per tonne or 3.38 per cent to RMB 18,185 per tonne. The open interest fell 11,785 lots to 256,640 lots.
