LME aluminium price surges by US$33.5/t to US$2,190.5/t; SHFE market is closed for China’s Dragon Boat Festival
On Thursday, June 22, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price surged by US$33.5 per tonne or 1.55 per cent to settle at US$2,190 per tonne and US$2,190.50 per tonne.
3-month bid price and 3-month offer price were hiked by US$29 per tonne or 1.31 per cent to reside at US$2,233.50 per tonne and US$2,234 per tonne.
December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price expanded by US$27 per tonne or 1.14 per cent to peg at US$2,385 per tonne and US$2,390 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock clocked at 546375 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants settled at 299950 tonnes and 246425 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price grew by US$12.24 per tonne or 0.55 per cent to score at US$2,232.66 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
The SHFE market is closed on the occasion of the Dragon Boat Festival and will resume on June 26, Monday. However, on June 21, the SHFE price closed at US$2,577 per tonne.
