
LME aluminium opened at US$2,215 per tonne on Thursday, with its high and low at US$2,244.5 per tonne and US$2,196.5 per tonne, respectively, before closing at US$2,209 per tonne, an increase of US$1 per tonne, or 0.05 per cent.

On Thursday, July 27, both the LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price went up by US$5 per tonne or 0.23 per cent and US$5.5 per tonne or 0.25 per cent to close at US$2,175 per tonne and US$2,176 per tonne.
3-month bid price and 3-month offer price increased by US$5 per tonne or 0.22 per cent to halt at US$2,219 per tonne and US$2,220 per tonne. December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price moved up by US$5 per tonne or 0.21 per cent to close at US$2,375 per tonne and US$2,380 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock came in at 511000 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants stood at 284400 tonnes and 226600 tonnes. LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price went down by US$11.33 per tonne, stopping at US$2,225.67 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
On Friday, July 28, the aluminium benchmark price on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) dropped by US$15 per tonne or 0.58 per cent to reside at US$2,567 per tonne.
The most-traded SHFE 2309 aluminium contract opened at RMB 18,400 per tonne overnight, with the lowest and highest prices at RMB 18,365 per tonne and RMB 18,445 per tonne before closing at RMB 18,395 per tonne, down RMB 25 per tonne or 0.14 per cent.
