Three-month LME aluminium opened at US$2,937 per tonne yesterday and closed at US$2,913 per tonne, down by US$19 per tonne or 0.65 percent.
On Wednesday September 29, LME aluminium cash (bid) price climbed up by US$14 or 0.48 percent to reach at US$2,912.50 per tonne. LME aluminium official settlement also grew by US$14 per tonne or 0.48 percent to close at US$2,913 per tonne. 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price stood at US$2,929 per tonne and US$2,930 per tonne. December 22 bid price stood at US$2,628 per tonne and the offer price for the same day was noted at US$2,803 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock for September 28 was recorded at 1248625 tonnes. Live warrants closed at 643700 and the cancelled warrants stood at 604925.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price for Wednesday, September 29 closed at 2917.73.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
For Thursday, September 30 the benchmark aluminium SHFE moved down by US$30 per tonne to stand at US$3,512 per tonne.
The most-traded SHFE 2111 aluminium closed up 0.84 percent to RMB 22820 per tonne, with open interest down 144 lots to 277,305 lots.
Overnight, the most-traded SHFE aluminium contract fell to RMB 22,705 per tonne after opening at RMB 22,970 per tonne, and closed at RMB 22,730 per tonne, down RMB 170 per tonne or 0.7 percent.
