
Three-month LME aluminium increased 0.08 per cent in the overnight trading to settle at US$ 2,451.5 per tonne, and is likely to trade between US$ 2,400-2,500 per tonne today.

On Wednesday, June 9, LME aluminium cash (bid) price and LME official settlement price increased for the fourth day in a row from US$ 2,439 per tonne to US$ 2,459 per tonne. 3-months bid price and 3-months offer price gained US$ 10.50 per tonne to stand at US$ 2,448.50 per tonne. However, Dec 22 bid price and Dec 22 offer price rose marginally from US$ 2,436.50 per tonne to US$ 2,437.50 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock declined from 1653175 tonnes on June 8 to 1649750 tonnes on June 9. Live Warrants totalled 1063850 tonnes, while Cancelled Warrants stood at 585900 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price climbed from US$ 2,415.93per tonne to US$ 2,447.60 per tonne on Wednesday, June 9.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE grew by US$ 24 per tonne on Thursday, June 10, following a slight drop in the previous day. Thus, the price has come in at US$ 2,901 per tonne on June 10.
The most-liquid SHFE 2107 aluminium contract finished the day 0.14 per cent higher at RMB 18,390 per tonne. Open interest fell 1,700 lots to 191,341 lots.
The most active SHFE 2107 aluminium contract rose 0.98 per cent to end at RMB 18,555 per tonne last night amid the cautious sentiment. The July contract is expected to move between RMB 18,300-18,650 per tonne today, with the premiums of aluminium ingot stable at RMB 0-20 per tonne in east China.
