LME aluminium price declines by US$7.5/t to close at US$2653.5/t; SHFE price grows for the fourth straight day to US$3002/t
Three-month LME aluminium rose 0.45 per cent to end at US$2,695 per tonne on overnight.
On Monday, November 22, both LME aluminium cash (bid) price and LME official settlement price decreased by US$7.50 per tonne to stand at US$2,653 per tonne and US$2,653.50 per tonne, respectively. But 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price grew by US$10 per tonne and US$11 per tonne to close at US$2,653 per tonne and US$2,655 per tonne. December 22 bid price and December 22 offer price totalled at US$2,613 per tonne and US$2,618 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock on November 22 decreased to 943125 tonnes. Live warrants increased to 577950 tonnes, while Cancelled Warrants declined to 365175 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price amounted to US$2,665 per tonne, as of November 22.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
The benchmark aluminium price for SHFE grew for the fourth day in a row to settle at US$3,002 per tonne on Tuesday, November 23.
The most-traded SHFE 2201 aluminium closed up 1.81 per cent or RMB 340 per tonne to stand at RMB 19095 per tonne, with open interest down 7313 lots to 220137 lots.
The most-active SHFE 2201 aluminium contract increased 0.86 per cent to end at RMB 19,260 per tonne last night.
