LME aluminium price closed lower at US$ 1978/t on the last day of the year; SHFE slightly fell
Benchmark aluminium price on London Metal Exchange dropped 0.88 per cent on the last day of the year. The price came in at US$ 1978 per tonne on Thursday, 31 December 2020, from US$ 1995.5 per tonne on Wednesday.
As of Thursday December 31, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 1978 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 1978 per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 1980.50per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 1980.50 per tonne; Dec 21 bid price stands at US$ 2008 per tonne, and Dec 21 offer price stands at US$ 2008 per tonne.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 1993 per tonne.

On Thursday, 31 December 2020, the most-liquid SHFE 2102 aluminium contract finished the day 0.1% lower at RMB15,460 per tonne. Open interest fell 1,349 lots to 112,085 lots.
