LME aluminium opened at US$2,194.5 per tonne last Friday, with its high and low at US$2,195 per tonne and US$2,171 per tonne, respectively, before closing at US$2,181 per tonne, a drop of US$15 per tonne or 0.68 per cent.
On Friday, September 8, the London Metal Exchange (LME) revealed that both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price slumped by US$25.5 per tonne or 1.18 per cent to settle at US$2,132 per tonne and US$2,132.50 per tonne.
3-month bid price and 3-month offer price also contracted by US$25 per tonne or 1.13 per cent and US$15 per tonne or 0.68 per cent to close at US$2,180 per tonne and US$2,181 per tonne.
December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price dipped by US$23 per tonne or 0.97 per cent to halt at US$2,327 per tonne and US$2,332 per tonne. LME aluminium opening stock came in at 499475 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants closed at 228475 tonnes and 271000 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price decreased by US$1.88 per tonne or 0.08 per cent to US$2,194.42 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
Today, on September 11, the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) aluminium benchmark price has added US$11 per tonne to clock at US$2,654 per tonne. Last Friday’s night session, the most-traded SHFE 2310 aluminium contract opened at RMB 19,045 per tonne, with its lowest and highest at RMB 18,940 per tonne and RMB 19,080 per tonne before closing at RMB 19,035 per tonne, down RMB 180 per tonne or 0.94 per cent.
