LME aluminium opened at US$2,321 per tonne on Tuesday and closed at US$2,352 per tonne, an increase of US$32 per tonne or 1.38 per cent.
On Tuesday, March 14, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price surged by US$35.5 per tonne or 1.58 per cent to close at US$2,271 per tonne and US$2,272 per tonne.
3-month bid price and 3-month offer price closed at US$2,320 per tonne and US$2,321 per tonne, recording a growth of US$34 per tonne or 1.48 per cent.
December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price expanded by US$33 per tonne or 1.31 per cent to score at US$2,535 per tonne and US$2,540 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock settled at 536450 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants resided at 427075 tonnes and 109375 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price dipped by US$13.67 per tonne or 0.58 per cent to come in at US$2,315.46 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
On March 15, today, the SHFE aluminium benchmark price has remained the same as yesterday at US$2,663 per tonne.
The most-traded SHFE 2304 aluminium closed up 0.05 per cent or RMB 10 per tonne at RMB 18,270 per tonne, with open interest down 5,403 lots to 188,156 lots.
The most-traded SHFE 2304 aluminium contract opened at RMB 18,325 per tonne overnight and climbed to RMB 18,420 per tonne before closing at RMB 18,350 per tonne, up RMB 60 per tonne or 0.3 per cent.
