LME aluminium opened at US$2,239.5 per tonne on Wednesday, with its high and low at US$2,246.5 per tonne and US$2,220 per tonne, respectively, before closing at US$2,237.5 per tonne, a decrease of US$3.5 per tonne or 0.16 per cent.
On Thursday, September 28, the London Metal Exchange (LME) recorded that both the cash bid price and official settlement price hiked by US$36.5 per tonne or 1.66 per cent and US$36 per tonne or 1.63 per cent to stand at US$2,231.50 per tonne and US$2,232 per tonne.
3-month bid price and 3-month offer price also grew by US$38 per tonne or 1.70 per cent and US$39 per tonne or 1.75 per cent to close at US$2,263 per tonne and US$2,265 per tonne. December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price added US$33 per tonne or 1.39 per cent to stop at US$2,398 per tonne and US$2,403 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock halted at 490275 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants reached 224100 tonnes and 266175 tonnes. LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price moved up by US$5.11 per tonne or 0.22 per cent to halt at US$2,239.01 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
Today, on September 29, the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) aluminium benchmark price showed no change owing to the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday. As per the data, the SHFE price yesterday was recorded at US$2,702 per tonne.
