On Thursday, LME aluminium opened at a high of US$2,486.5 per tonne, a low of US$2,450 per tonne, and closed at US$2,466 per tonne, down US$18 per tonne, a decrease of 0.72 per cent.
{alcircleadd}On Thursday, August 29, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price declined by US$41.5 per tonne or 1.67 per cent and US$42 per tonne or 1.69 per cent to clock at US$2,437 per tonne and US$2,437.50 per tonne.
3-month bid price and 3-month offer price contracted by US$35.5 per tonne or 1.41 per cent and US$36 per tonne or 1.43 per cent to clock at US$2,465.50 per tonne and US$2,466 per tonne. December 25 bid price and December 25 offer price descended by US$25 per tonne or 0.95 per cent to halt at US$2,598 per tonne and US$2,603 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock came in at 856725 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants stood at 345300 tonnes and 511425 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price slumped by US$48.22 per tonne or 1.91 per cent to arrive at US$2,473.43 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
On Thursday, August 30, the SHFE aluminium benchmark price has dropped by US$9 per tonne or 0.32 per cent to peg at US$2,772 per tonne. Overnight, the most-traded SHFE aluminium 2410 contract opened at RMB 19,660 per tonne, hit a high of RMB 19,705 per tonne, a low of RMB 19,625 per tonne, and closed at RMB 19,655 per tonne, down RMB 55 per tonne from the previous close, a decrease of 0.28 per cent.
