
Ball Corporation, a global leader in aluminium beverage packaging, has appointed Ronald J. Lewis as its new Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors, effective immediately. Lewis takes over from Daniel W. Fisher, who has stepped down from the role. The company confirmed that Fisher’s departure is unrelated to any disagreement with the board or management.

As part of the leadership transition, Stuart A. Taylor II, currently Ball’s Lead Independent Director, has been elected as Chairman of the Board. In a statement, he expressed his appreciation for Fisher’s tenure, mentioning his role in steering the company through a challenging environment.
Industry experience shaping Ball’s future direction
Commenting on the new appointment of Ball Corporation, Taylor said, “Looking ahead, we are confident that Ron is the right leader to advance Ball’s strategy and strengthen our culture and market leadership. With his strategic vision, commitment to operational excellence, deep understanding of Ball’s business, and strong customer relationships, Ball will continue to grow and deliver value for our customers, employees, and shareholders. We are proud to name Ron as the 13th CEO in Ball’s 145-year history.”
Lewis joined Ball in 2019 as President of the company’s Europe, Middle East and Asia beverage division and has served since 2024 as Chief Supply Chain and Operations Officer, overseeing global manufacturing, procurement, logistics, engineering, and operational excellence. During his tenure, he has led several initiatives to improve supply chain agility, enhance production efficiency, and expand the company’s global footprint.
Before joining Ball, Lewis was Chief Supply Chain Officer at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners and previously held senior roles within the Coca Cola system. Earlier in his career, he worked in supply chain and procurement leadership positions at Mars Incorporated and Cargill.

The company also announced the permanent appointment of Daniel J. Rabbitt as Chief Financial Officer on November 2, 2025. Rabbitt, who had been serving as interim CFO since May, joined Ball in 2004 and has held several senior roles, including Vice President and General Manager of the aerosol division and Senior Vice President of corporate planning and development.
Taylor, a private investor who has served on Ball’s board since 1999, brings decades of experience in investment banking, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance.
