KS HUAYU to expand its die casting aluminium capacity at Neckarsulm

<p>Neckarsulm-based KS HUAYU AluTech GmbH&nbsp;&nbsp; plans to invest in&nbsp; new die- casters and other equipment at the Neckarsulm location. Order influx for die castings in aluminium is such that KS HUAYU plans to expand its capacities. This castings specialist is venturing into new types of products without neglecting traditional engine block business.<br /><br /><img style="vertical-align: middle; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" src="http://www.alcircle.com/uploads/images/die%20casters.jpg" alt="News" width="517" height="226" /><br />At present, KS HUAYU generates 12% of sale by component outside the power train; plans are for the proportion to triple over the next decade. The orders for other parts in aluminium, e.g. suspension-strut mounts have been booked besides the original addition to the portfolio of lightweight components.<br /><br />Lothar Schneider, in charge of the castings business at Rheinmetall Automotive, comments: "While expanding its business in engine block castings, KS HUAYU will also broaden its focus on products for non-I.C. engine vehicles. Given our casting expertise, we already are a sought-after partner in the production of structural components as well as the highly complex aluminium parts needed in electric vehicles."<br /><br />{googleAdsense}<br /><br />This expansion to start with the further foundry and new shops for aluminium downstream work such as heat treatment, machining, straightening and component assembly. Plans are to expand the production area by 5,000 square meters, including a new foundry of 3,400 square meters. Construction work to begin as early as the beginning of 2017 and production start-up is scheduled for July 1, 2018.<br /><br />KS HUAYU aims to invest in several new die-casters and other equipment, the smelting capacity at this aluminium location rise to up to 100 tons a day. <br /><br />KS HUAYU AluTech GmbH is a joint venture between Rheinmetall Automotive and HUAYU Automotive Systems which is experiencing a faster growth in its new casting business. <br /><br /></p>
