Primary aluminium producer Kazakhstan Aluminium Smelter has appointed Mr Serik Donbekbaev as new President. Mr Donbekbaev has more than 2 0 years of track record in mining, metals and processing operation.
Kazakhstan Aluminium Smelter is a subsidiary of Eurasian Resources Group.
Mr Donbekbaev started his career at the Aksu Ferroalloys Plant, part of the Group’s JSC Kazchrome operation. Mr Donbekbaev was also Vice President of Financial and Economic Affairs for Kazchrome having worked in the economic affairs team for 11 years.
In 2019, KAS reached record production of 263 thousand tonnes of aluminium. KAS’s aluminium is traded on the London Metal Exchange.
Kazakhstan Aluminium Smelter supplies its product to Italy, Greece and other Balkans, Turkey, and Spain.
