June World Aluminum Output 2.042 Mln Tons, Down 70,000 Tons

Total world aluminum production in June fell by 70,000 metric tons to 2.042 million tons, according to figures released Monday by the International Aluminum Institute.
World production in May stood at 2.112 million tons.
June production was up 12,000 tons compared with the same month of 2012, when output was recorded at 2.030 million tons, the IAI said.
