Jordan’s import of Aluminium Foil during 2018-20 depicts strong growth

The United Nations classified Jordan as a middle-income nation and the economy of Jordan is classified as an emerging market economy. Jordan is facing economic challenges in the time of COVID-19 and it is going through a recession. The travel and tourism sector has been the worst hit due to Jordan’s restrictions on tourism and the diminished global appetite for travel that will likely continue through all of 2021.

Jordan’s import of Aluminium Foil during 2018-20

The Arabian nation’s import of aluminium foil during 2018-19 stood at 4963 tonnes and the revenue expended remained at $19.54 million. The import for 2020 is analysed to reach at 5059 tonnes and the expenditure to stand at $14.30 million. However, when the import volume and expenditure of 2020 gets added with the existing two years, it depicts 10,022 tonnes and $33.84 million respectively.

Jordan’s import of aluminium foil in 2018 was recorded at 1915 tonnes and the expenditure accounted to $8.05 million, whereas in 2019 the import saw growth by 59.16%, as the import volume rose to 3048 tonnes and the expenditure grew to $11.49 million.

The aluminium foil import for 2020 also has been marked with growth by 65.97%, as the import volume is expected to reach at 5059 tonnes and expenditure to climb at $14.30 million.

Jordon’s major trading destinations for the importation of aluminium foil are China, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Netherlands, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, etc.
