As mentioned in our data, Italy imported 99,286 tonnes of aluminium foils in 2015 as compared to 99,293 tonnes in 2016. The total import increased by 6.5739 tonnes in 2016. The total value of import was USD 417.75 million and USD 388.053 million respectively. In 2017, the amount of foil import is estimated to stand at 98,018 tonnes and the value to be around USD 342 million.
In 2015, Italy exported 148,433 tonnes of aluminium foil with total value stood at USD 637 million. The country exported 156,266tonnes in 2016; the total value was USD 611 million. In 2017, the export volume is forecasted to be around 155,244 tonnes and the revenue is estimated to be about USD 536 million.

The top exporters of aluminium foil to Italy are Germany (16109 tonnes), China (15514 tonnes) and Greece (11353 tonnes). The importing countries include Austria (7901 tonnes), Belgium (6397 tonnes) and Algeria (1301 tonnes).
