Italy’s estimated imports and exports of aluminium structures grow in 2018

In 2018, Italy’s imports and exports of aluminium structures increased by 10.27% or 3536 tonnes year-on-year and 20.45% or 13213 tonnes year-on-year respectively in 2018. Most of Italy’s aluminium structures export goes to Austria, France, the USA, Germany, Switzerland, Israel, Poland and Spain among others.

Our own third party data shows Italy imported an estimated 34425 tonnes of aluminium structures in 2017 and total cost of import was at USD 124 million. The country’s estimated aluminium structures import was at 37961 tonnes in 2018 and the cost of import was at USD 123 million.

The country’s import of aluminium structures is estimated to be about 37326 tonnes by the end of this year. The value of import is estimated to stand at USD 106 million.

Italy exported 64610 tonnes of aluminium structures globally in 2017. The total shipment value of aluminium structures was estimated at USD 352 million. The country’s estimated aluminium structures export was at 77823 tonnes in 2018. The value realization increased to reach USD 500 million.

In 2019, Italy’s total aluminium scrap export is estimated to be about 67720 tonnes and the value of export is estimated to be about USD 395 million.
