The news came after the association unveiled its new name and logo during the closing general session of ISRI2024 Convention and Exhibition in Las Vegas.

The association's new identity represents three strong visions – Sustainable, Resilient, Essential, considering recycled materials industry is sustainable, helping protect the environment; using recycled materials in product making upholds a circular economy and hence it is resilient; and recycling is essential to make everyday life better.

According to Robin Wiener, President of the Recycled Materials Association, the association's new name accurately describes its vision and mission and what it represents. The association advocates material recycling to ensure a sustainable and resilient future for the planet. For 2024, it is focused on championing environmental stewardship within reasonable regulatory frameworks, maintaining market access, development and sustained economic growth, ensuring a safe and circular environment in the era of decarbonisation and increasing electrification, promoting safe and responsible recycling operations, and shaping the future by advancing education, workforce development, and responsible governance.

Recycled Materials Association Incoming Chair Colin Kelly remarked, "With the introduction of this new brand identity, we embark on an exciting future for our organization that reflects our evolution, our values, and our vision. This new name represents our dedication to rethinking how we approach recycling, pushing the boundaries of what is possible, and striving for a world where recycling is at the heart of sustainable development."

ISRI was formed in 1987, and now has more than 1,700 members. Of them, 800 companies are loyal members being associated with the organisation for more than 20 years.
