Ireland’s first and only canned water brand Well uses water originating from the country and packs it locally. Well has now collaborated with Every Can Counts to build a circular recycling scheme for aluminium cans.
Recycling non-profit organisation Every Can Counts signed a deal of partnership with Well. at the Royal Hospital, Kilmainham, during the Wellfest event to collect used aluminium cans of the company and recycle them.
Well. was founded in Dublin by brothers Mark and Conor Ralph and entrepreneur John O'Sullivan in 2021. With successful launches around convenience stores around the capital, Well aluminium cans are now being stored in bars, restaurants and other retail places.
The co-founder of Well, Mark Ralph, emphasised: "Wellbeing is central to our company, for both our customers and our planet.”
“That's why it was never a question for us to can our water instead of bottling it. Aluminium is infinitely recyclable, meaning we can continue promoting healthy lifestyles, without compromising the environment,” he added.
Every Can Counts supplied recycling bins to source used aluminium cans from Well to be recycled later.
The director of Every Can Counts, Tom Giddings, commented: "Well is a really exciting new company and we're thrilled to welcome them as a partner.”
"The business' commitment to the environment aligns perfectly with our philosophies and we can't wait to see what we can achieve through our partnership, starting with our collaboration at Wellfest, which was a great success,” he concluded.
