Aluminium Industries Limited (Alind) has been reopened following the renovation on Thursday, August 17. The factory had been closed for the last 20 years. Chief Minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the revived factory of the Aluminium Industries Limited, at Kundara, in Kerala, India.
Pinarayi Vijayan said, “We witness a fake propaganda that the state does not provide a favourable atmosphere for industries. Those who spread it should see this. The factory will regain its might that it had twenty years back. The government will extend full support to such industries.”
The Aluminium Industries Limited will manufacture aluminium cables. The cable is used in high voltage underground transmission lines beneficial for power distribution.

Aluminium Industries Limited was established in 1946. The company used to manufacture conductors, cables, switch gears, semi-conductors and various industrial steel products.
