Calculate Embedded Emissions for Unwrought Aluminium (HS7601)
Enter your input
Notes:
There may be a difference when calculating the price with respect to
import volume, carbon price, and benchmark emissions, as the embedded
formula may result in minor variations due to decimal rounding.
Therefore, the actual value may vary.
CBAM is applicable to trade volumes starting from 50 metric tonnes. For trade volumes below 50 metric tonnes, CBAM does not apply.
Usage Procedure – How to use the CBAM Calculator Sheet
Enter or update values only in the
INPUT PARAMETERS section (Highlighted in blue) ,
including the carbon price, benchmark emissions, CBAM chargeable
percentage (as per the phase-in year), and imported quantity.
The system will automatically calculate the
payable emissions and the total CBAM cost (€)
based on the inputs provided.
Notes:
• Change any input value to automatically update CBAM cost.
• Formula used: Carbon price × payable emissions × quantity.
• Model aligned with CBAM supplier-side illustrative methodology.

IBC Advanced Alloys joins hands with Nu-Cast for aluminum casting project
2MINS READ
IBC Advanced Alloys, a specialty metal developer and manufacturer signed an MoU with Nu-Cast, an aluminum investment casting company. The deal “outlines the framework for increasing manufacturing capacity and improving production efficiencies of IBC’s proprietary near-net-shape beryllium-aluminum castings.”
According to the MoU both the companies will work together on new beryllium-aluminum investment casting projects that will cater to the aerospace industry.
According to IBC, beryllium-aluminum alloys produced by them can be used in most high-performance applications that require complex, lightweight and stiff parts. They also have use as a lower-cost replacement material for magnesium, cast aluminum, titanium etc. and also as pure beryllium or powder metallurgy beryllium-aluminum.
IBC has produced over 250,000 castings till date. With such experience, it expects to make use of each company’s skills to take advantage of opportunities in the aerospace sector throuch the agreement with Nu-Cast.
According to IBC’s latest press release, both companies have “identified opportunities to improve manufacturing and marketing efficiencies for beryllium aluminum castings to support future growth. Nu-Cast has extensive experience with aluminum investment castings that will complement IBC’s beryllium aluminum casting expertise.”
Nu-Cast’s president, Don McKitterick, highlighted how both the companies will complement each other’s strength. “Nu-Cast has successfully served the aerospace sector for almost three decades and is an excellent complement to IBC’s technology, team and corporate vision,” he said.
Anthony Dutton, president of IBC, said “[t]here are many immediate synergies between IBC and Nu-Cast where we can share our respective know-how to better serve the aerospace industry.”
