Hydro announced that it will supply the complete charging system housing to Vita superPower’s new dockside superchargers. “The world’s first network of dockside superchargers designed for high-performance electric boats is using Hydro CIRCAL aluminium,” Hydro said.

The company will supply all the machining, accessories (gaskets, hinges, locking system) and the surface finishing, in addition to technical and design support.
“We are proud to work with forward-leaning companies like Vita who are moving the market forward in the right direction using new design principles and high demands to the origin and environmental footprint of materials selected. Hydro CIRCAL is a perfect fit to the high standards Vita is setting,” said Luca Bertola, Hydro’s Managing Director Extruded Solution Italy.
Vita superPower is the first network of fully marinized dockside superchargers to support the use of high-performance electric boats, Hydro claims. It minimizes charging times for compatible boats from approximately 6 hours to 1 hour
Designed by BorromeodeSilva in Milan and manufactured by Hydro from its facilities in Ornago, Italy, the aluminium profiles for the Vita superPower are manufactured in recycled aluminium made with a minimum of 75% recycled post-consumer scrap.
“We have a responsibility to ensure the environmental impact of all our products is minimal, which is why we partnered with Hydro on this project. By using Hydro CIRCAL for the construction of the unit, the carbon footprint of superPower is significantly reduced,” said Rory Trahair, CEO of Vita.
