Huomei Hongjun Aluminum and Electricity Company has built the country's first automatic production line for aluminium ingot casting, which automates slag breaking, ingot casting, packaging, weighing, and other processes. The announcement was made by Liu Ruihong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Inner Mongolia Huomei Hongjun Aluminium Electric. Huomei Hongjun Aluminium & Electricity has played the two cards of "green aluminium" and "smart factory" in recent years, accelerating the transition to low-carbon, clean, and intelligent, making the aluminium industry bigger and stronger, and creating clean production in the aluminium industry model.
The corporation continues to expand its share of new energy consumption by relying on the Huolinhe circular economy "source network load storage" multi-energy complementary project. Green energy replacement in electrolytic aluminium production has achieved 25 per cent, the yearly output of green energy electrolytic aluminium has reached 230,000 tonnes, and annual carbon dioxide emissions have been reduced by approximately 1.1 million tonnes. The company's new energy installed capacity will reach 1.6 million kilowatts by the conclusion of the "14th Five-Year Plan," and it is planned to generate 310,000 tonnes of green aluminium per year, providing the zero-carbon value of green goods in the aluminium industrial chain.
The company vigorously implements the technological innovation of ultra-low emission of aluminium electrolytic flue gas pollutants and profound control of unorganised emission, investing RMB 310 million to build the aluminium industry's first ultra-low emission demonstration project of electrolytic aluminium flue gas pollutants. Every year since the project's completion and operation, 103 tonnes of fluoride, 6,921 tonnes of sulphur dioxide, and 664 tonnes of particulate matter have been decreased.
Furthermore, the company has invested RMB 130 million to complete the comprehensive treatment project of unorganised emissions from aluminium electrolysis, which has improved the level of energy conservation, emission reduction, and clean production of circular economy industrial clusters, as well as filled many environmental protection technology gaps in the aluminium industry.
So far, the firm has received nine national and industry science and technology advancement awards and 107 patents and has hosted or participated in 32 national and industry standards. In recent years, the firm has worked tirelessly to strengthen, improve, and expand the Huolinhe circular economy industrial cluster and thoroughly develop a first-class, clean and smart aluminium and power enterprise in China.
