
Hindalco Industries Limited has slashed its aluminium products price by around 1.39%. With effect from Saturday, 15 May 2021, aluminium billets price has dropped by INR 3,000 per tonne from INR 216,350 per tonne on May 13 to stand at INR 213,350 per tonne.

The company’s wire rods price stands at INR 217,350 per tonne on Saturday, 15 May 2021, down INR 3,000 per tonne from INR 220,350 per tonne on May 13. Aluminium ingot price is down by more than 1% to stand at INR 206,250 per tonne.
The Indian aluminium producers generally link prices of its products to the three-month futures of aluminium on London Metal Exchange. The aluminium price is currently hovering at US$ 2455 per tonne on May 17, up from US$ 2,438 per tonne on May 14.
Aluminium operations of the company, excluding those of its US arm Novelis Inc, generally account for nearly half of its total sales and 70% of its operating profit.
