
After a sharp cut on November 9, Hindalco Industries Limited increased its aluminium products prices by INR 3,500 per tonne, with effect from November 10. Thus, the company is now selling its aluminium wire rod price at INR 234,850 per tonne versus INR 231,350 per tonne on November 9.

Hindalco’s aluminium billets price came in at INR 234,350 per tonne on November 10, compared to INR 230,850 per tonne on the previous day.
Aluminium ingot price also saw a hike of INR 3,500 per tonne or 1.60 per cent on November 10 to come in at INR 223,750 per tonne. On November 9, Hindalco’s aluminium ingot price stood at INR 220,250 per tonne, plunging by INR 15,500 per tonne from that in November 4.
Hindalco Industries Limited links its aluminium ingot and aluminium products prices to the three-month future of aluminium on the London Metal Exchange. On November 9, the LME aluminium benchmark price surged by US$51.50 per tonne from US$2,530.50 per tonne to US$2,582 per tonne. On a month-on-month calculation, the price stood down by about US$438 per tonne from US$3,020 per tonne.
Aluminium operations of the company, excluding those of its US arm Novelis Inc, generally account for nearly half of its total sales and 70% of its operating profit.
