The Department of Ecology and Environment of Guizhou Province released the Implementation Plan for the Collaborative Efficiency of Pollution Reduction and Carbon Reduction in Guizhou Province on December 18. The plan aims to facilitate innovation in high-efficiency and energy-saving aluminium electrolysis technology in key enterprises.
It seeks to promote energy-saving technologies such as new cathode structure aluminium electricity technology, waste heat recovery, and advanced aluminium processing technology. The plan also emphasises the importance of technological transformation, improving technical equipment, and effectively reducing energy consumption per unit product.
Engage in the active development of high-purity aluminium materials to enhance the value of goods and decrease the energy consumption per unit of industrial added value. Enhance the ratio of aluminium that is recycled.
By 2025, the province is projected to produce 400,000 tonnes of recycled aluminium. Additionally, the use of renewable energy in the electrolytic aluminium process is expected to exceed 30 per cent by 2030.
