Built for agency and husbandry duties, APS Glory is designed to balance crew comfort with workboat efficiency. It accommodates 23 passengers and offers a 1.5 tonne/m² deck cargo capacity, making it suitable for frequent port and offshore runs.
The other crew boat is engineered to meet the demanding operational standards of leading oil majors, including Aramco, the vessel can carry up to 50 passengers and features generous fuel and fresh water capacities alongside a large deck cargo area.
From a technical standpoint, it integrates advanced digitalisation and remote monitoring systems for smarter operations and enhanced oversight. Its twin-engine configuration provides an economical, fuel-efficient, high-speed solution that lowers operating costs and emissions, Grandweld states.
Beyond newbuilds, Grandweld’s Ship Repair Division recently completed a seven-day afloat repair of a 220 metre containership at Khalid Port, highlighting the yard’s fast-turnaround maintenance capability. The work included fabrication and installation of platforms and access gangways, deck fittings, hatch cover hydroblasting and painting, engine room blower overhauls, funnel repairs, cargo tank ladder and pipe modifications, and the installation of wheelhouse window blinds and curtains.
