Fujian Nanping Aluminium Co., LTD. has acquired ASI Performance Standard V3 (2022) Certification for three divisions within its Yanping District, Nanping City, Fujian Province, China factory. The divisions include the Foundry Branch, responsible for producing aluminium alloy round ingots; the Extrusion Division, dedicated to making aluminium alloy profiles for building purposes; and the Production Department, focused on manufacturing industrial aluminium alloy profiles.
DNV Business Assurance Services UK Ltd. conducted an independent, third-party audit of the Fujian Nanping Aluminium Co., LTD. Plant. Fujian Nanping Aluminium Co., LTD. will adopt a corrective action plan throughout the Certification Period, which will be confirmed in follow-up audits.

The facility's extruded products and aluminium alloy ingots serve a wide range of downstream industries. Closing the loop on scrap is critical in the quest to establish and extend the circular economy for aluminium, and the company's work with customers on how to best improve end-of-life recycling rates is an important way to move forward. The company's Performance Standard Certification offers its customers independent verification of the extent of the company's adherence to environmental, social, and governance criteria in its production practices."
The ASI Certification programme, established after intensive multi-stakeholder input, is the first complete voluntary sustainability standard project for the aluminium value chain. The ASI Performance Standard V3 (2022) was released in May 2022 following a multi-year review process. It establishes 11 principles and 62 criteria under three sustainability pillars – Environment, Social, and Governance – to address critical sustainability concerns in the aluminium value chain, such as biodiversity, Indigenous Peoples' rights, circularity, and greenhouse gas emissions.
