Former Miss World graces the French Riviera in a Sophie Couture aluminium gown

The 2023 Cannes Film Festival has finally rolled out the red carpet, and it is a sight to behold. Celebrities continue to showcase outstanding ensembles that stay retained in our memory for free all year long. Cannes, a resort town on the French Riviera, is famous for its international film festival. Talking about Cannes, one such celebrity that has been a veteran and a definite showstopper is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

This year, she wore a black and silver hooded gown from the Sophie Couture collection. The dress was made up of delicate and beautiful elements like aluminium, crystal, and silver sequins. Sophie Couture characterised the outfit as a "mind-blowing piece from their Cannes Capsule Collection," with lightweight aluminium accents, a characteristic corset, and crystals.

The initial sketch of the outfit had a bow, which added to its dramatic appeal. This was Aishwarya's 21st year in Cannes, and she created a lasting impact with her daring fashion statement. Aishwarya's silver gown, which had an enormous hood and a black bow, was a departure from her traditional look. Aishwarya Rai, known for her beautiful and classic design selections, took a chance with this attire, which paid off.

The duo had turned heads with a captivating collaboration, which showcased real clothes with decorations manufactured from items such as bike tubes and aluminium soda cans at the Met Gala.
