ExpoAlumínio to bring together the South American aluminium value chain in Brazil

EDITED BY : 3MINS READ

Brazil, the world’s third-largest producer of bauxite and alumina will host 2018 ExpoAlumínio International Aluminum Exhibition on September 3 to 5 to present the full potential of sector companies and buyers in Brazil and in all of Latin America. The event  will provide a platform for the innovations, experiences, and content directed at the entire aluminum production chain, from bauxite to recycling.

More than 140 local and international names from the aluminum supply chain are expected, including the segments of machinery, equipment, accessories, raw materials, semi-manufactured goods, processed goods, recycling, general services, and consulting. Among the companies that have confirmed their presence are: Alcoa, CBA, Hydro, Novelis, Prolind, Tomra, Italy’s Europiante, and many others.

More than 10,000 visitors are expected to attend the three-day exhibition, coming from all over Brazil and other countries, especially those in South America.  According to ExpoAlumínio 2018 director Leandro Lara, the event will bring together suppliers and their current buyers, as well as assist these companies to explore new markets.

“Aluminum is a product that still has a lot of room to grow, due to its multiplicity of applications and efficiency. In order for that to happen, the organization is preparing an intense business agenda – with a buyers club – and a sophisticated intelligence program that will allow for contacts to be made before the event, and business to flow during the trade show. Currently, we have the capacity to know the needs of exhibitors and buyers ahead of time, and create assertive connections that will unfold into new business opportunities during the event,” he says.

“We are also focusing on attracting even more representatives from the packaging, automotive, consumer goods, and construction industries. ExpoAlumínio is focused on serving the entire production chain, and that’s why it brings the most important segments of the industry to the exhibition. The event is a leader in Latin America, and this year ExpoAlumínio will present various innovations to the entire market,” he adds.

Reed Exhibitions Alcantara Machado and SAE BRASIL formed a partnership to generate gains for the aluminum industry and the mobility chain. This will fecilitate the simultaneous occurrence of 2018 ExpoAlumínio and the 2018 SAE BRASIL International Technology and Mobility Congress and Exhibition.

Visitors will have access to both the events during the course of three days, and have the opportunity to participate in the activities and visit technology exhibitions that will host about 200 brands.

Curated by the Brazilian Aluminum Association (ABAL), the 8th International Aluminum Congress will bring together professionals from the Brazilian and international industry, representatives from academia, and researchers. The event’s main theme is “Global aluminum trends and Brazil’s insertion in this environment,” and will include presentations about the global and domestic outlook, with panels including economists and CEOs who will provide their views of Brazil and the global market.

The 8th International Aluminum Congress will be held on the same floor as the ExpoAlumínio. The objective in integrating the two events is to optimize the experience for exhibitors and industry professionals, expanding networking and business opportunities. The congress will discuss innovations in aluminum production, transformation, and recycling, as well as applications in the main consumer markets.

The ExpoAlumínio Technological Hub during the exhibition will provide a stage for companies to present their technologies, answer questions, and also to network. The space will provide opportunities to interact with interested audiences, and to build up new business prospects.

In Brazil, ExpoAlumínio is organized by the Brazilian Aluminum Association (ABAL) and is promoted by Reed Exhibitions Alcantara Machado.
