Estrella Damm is marking its 150th anniversary in 2026 with a year-long programme of celebrations, including a large music festival held in Barcelona in May, limited edition can packaging and the launch of a refreshed visual identity for consumers worldwide.
{alcircleadd}As part of the anniversary campaign, the beer brand partnered with Crown to introduce a limited-edition packaging range featuring seven different 440ml aluminium can designs.
The campaign was developed in the UK, where Estrella Damm operates its first brewery outside the Iberian Peninsula through the Damm Eagle Brewery in Bedford, England.
The limited-edition cans are fully recyclable and are inspired by Barcelona, the city where the brand originated. Each design highlights different elements of the city's culture, architecture and lifestyle.
The visuals feature landmarks and themes associated with Barcelona, including La Sagrada Familia, local markets, beaches, sporting activities and cultural celebrations that have long been linked to the brand.
To produce the packaging range, Crown used its Accents Color technology at its Peterborough facility. The technology enabled the company to manufacture mixed pallets containing multiple can designs within the same high-speed production run.
According to Crown, the cans were produced using a combination of opaque and transparent inks to create a matte gloss finish. The company said the process also ensured consistent colour alignment and ink application across all seven designs.

Véronique Curulla, Marketing and Business Development Director EMEA at Crown, said the anniversary project aimed to reflect Estrella Damm's heritage while presenting the brand in a way that would appeal to consumers across different markets.
She added, “By combining advanced colour variations with high-speed production, we were able to translate Barcelona’s cultural richness into a series of distinctive designs at scale, while supporting Damm’s commitment to recyclable, metal packaging.”
The limited-edition can range is being released ahead of the summer season in the UK market as part of Estrella Damm's 150th anniversary celebrations.
