This week, Alcircle has launched the latest report titled, "Future of Aluminium in Transportation Sector - An industry analysis with forecasts to 2027”, discussing all the possible advancements in the aluminium industry in reference with the transport sector. The end user sector has been extremely productive this entire week. Volkswagen Slovakia is all ready to go carbon neutral by 2050 with the help of its Way to Zero initiative and the global Aluminium closed Loop Project, a process by which aluminium can be produced while saving 95 per cent energy. On the other hand, the Reveal Research Project brings together nine participants from seven European countries with the prime intention of producing aluminium from alumina in a way that emits the least amount of carbon dioxide. Graphene Manufacturing Group Ltd. declared the expansion of Phase 1 of its graphene manufacturing project to yield graphene aluminium-ion batteries. The Final Investment Decision will be of about AU$1.5 million.
We all know that aluminium is a versatile metal. From construction to automobiles, the use of aluminium is widespread. Although aluminium has been used in the transportation industry for a long time, it has recently taken centre stage due to concerns about climate change, strict pollution control requirements, and the pressing need to make cars much lighter. The country that uses aluminium the most in the transportation industry is China. In 2022, the nation's expected utilisation of aluminium in different transportation uses was 10.5 million tonnes.
The newly created graphene aluminium-ion batteries from Graphene Manufacturing Group (GMG) hold the potential to revolutionise the way electric vehicle technology is used today. The batteries are not just lightweight or faster to charge but also feature better environmental credentials and have a longer lifespan than other lithium-ion counterparts.
Graphene Manufacturing Group Ltd. (GMG) has announced with extreme pride that the company has put together a Final Investment Decision (FID) of AU$1.5 million approx. to expand Phase 1 of its graphene manufacturing project. The expansion plan consists of a consolidated lease of 5 years to extend the total office and warehouse area to 3,500 square metres.

On August 18, the innovative, carbon-neutral electric bus and lightweight automobile brand Switch Mobility has revealed India’s first electric double-decker bus, called Switch EiV 22. The bus features a lightweight aluminium outer body shell that downsizes the actual weightage of the bus, keeping it in complete proportion with the passenger ratio. This is also the world’s first semi-low floor; air ventilation equipped electric double-decker vehicle with a broader door on a rear overhang and a rear staircase.
