EGA and FYA collaborate to empower UAE youth for emerging opportunities

EDITED BY : 3MINS READ

Great opportunities are unlocked for today's youth in the United Arab Emirates. With the continuous vision of empowering UAE young generations, Emirates Global Emirates (EGA) along with The Federal Youth Authority (FYA) have signed a cooperation agreement. Both firms are focused on a common goal of fostering a supportive ecosystem, helping youth to tap into growth opportunities within the region.

This has been initiated under the presence of His Excellency Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi and UAE's Minister of State for Youth Affairs. Furthermore, the agreement has been signed by Abdulnasser Bin Kalban, the Chief Executive Officer of EGA and His Excellency Khaled Mohammed Al Nuaimi, the Director of the Federal Youth Authority at EGA's headquarters located in Al Taweelah, Abu Dhabi.

On this, His Excellency Khaled Mohammed Al Nuaimi said, "Empowering the youth and providing them with the skills and opportunities they need is at the heart of the national vision to shape the future. We are pleased to partner with EGA, a leading industrial company that shares our efforts and aspirations to empower a new generation that is well aware of its critical role in driving the development process. We can see this commitment clearly in the company’s extensive track record of investing in young talents and enabling them to innovate. We are certain that through this agreement, we can foster a culture of excellence, creativity and collaboration among the young generation, and enable them to contribute to the UAE's economic and social development."

The initiation of empowering the UAE youth dates back to 2018 when EGA developed with the Youth Council under the leadership vision of highlighting the important role played by the youth and the need to support them. With this vision, more than 700 employees working in EGA are below the age of 35, letting the youth lead UAE's innovation and development.

Apart from this, EGA also runs other outreach programmes for inspiring youth to gain their specialisation in mathematics, science, engineering and technology. These outreach programmes also further included an Ambassador Programme and 'Engineer the Future' and have successfully engaged with about 35,000 students since 2028.

Abdulnasser Bin Kalban, Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Global Aluminium said, "EGA is committed to empowering young people and supporting their role as a key pillar in our efforts to drive positive change and support comprehensive development. The agreement with the Federal Youth Authority reflects our decades-long journey in creating development opportunities to empower the next generation of leaders, in line with the vision of our wise leadership. We look forward to working closely with the Authority to achieve progress on our shared goals and ambitions."
