Dudley's Aluminium bags four new contracts in the education sector

EDITED BY : 2MINS READ

Cardiff-headquartered aluminium fabricator Dudley's Aluminium Limited has bagged four new contracts in the education sector. Andrew Scott will collaborate with the fabricator on Ysgol Gynradd Groes-wen Primary School in Cardiff. When finished, the school will include modern architecture and a variety of public facilities.

Dudley's will use Metal Technology System capped curtain walling, doors, windows, automated doors, louvres, and an entrance canopy on the construction. The school will be the first in the city to provide a dual language education stream, providing both Welsh medium education and English and Welsh multi-language education, with 420 primary school seats and an extra 96 part-time childcare spots.

Colin Shorney, managing director at Dudley's Aluminium, stated: "We are delighted to have secured these four projects to support students across south Wales. Each project will provide enhanced learning environments, helping to maximise opportunities for students at every stage of their education."

Dudley's will assist Morgan Sindall Construction Ltd in adding Y Pant Comprehensive School in Pontyclun by adding Kawneer capped curtain walling, doors, and windows. The fourth education sector project for the fabricator will be a full window and door replacement for Cardiff University's School of Healthcare Sciences, which will be placed on a single site next to the University Hospital of Wales.

The project seeks to create the greatest learning environment possible for the constantly increasing number of students by increasing teaching space and permitting immersive virtual educational settings on a bigger scale. Dudley's will collaborate with ISG Construction Ltd to install Metal Technology System capped curtain walling, doors, and windows on the project, as well as automated access doors and fire-certified windows and doors.

Sustainability in the global aluminium industry

In addition, the fabricator will collaborate with Andrew Scott on the renovation of St David's Sixth Form College in Cardiff. Metal Technology System capped curtain walling, casement windows and doors, automated entry doors and double-glazed units with inbuilt blinds will be installed.
