Ford has produced more than 5,000 large aluminium unicastings at its Shelbyville Technical Center as it advances manufacturing preparations for the Fathom midsize electric truck, scheduled to launch in 2027. The castings are being used for process testing and prototype assembly at the company's Louisville Assembly Plant. The United Arab Emirates exports of crude metals and alloys to the US stood at 31,200 tonnes in March 2021 an increase of 52.94% year-on-year. The UAE had exported 20,400 tonnes to the US in March 2020, according to the latest Mineral Industry Survey report from the US Geological Survey. On a monthly basis, crude metal and alloys imports rose 19.54% from February’s imports of 26,100 tonnes. A unit of China Haida, CHD Engineering and Trading, has teamed with K-United Builder (KUB) to supply and install aluminium products for projects in Singapore and Malaysia. The first project is for a commercial building in Johor, Malaysia, worth S$1.68 million, that requires aluminium cladding and roof work. The project will start on August 2, 2021, and expectedly complete on December 1, 2022. The other projects worth S$ 0.75 million are in Singapore.
