
Discovery Bauxite in St Ann, Jamaica, is supplying gallons of water to hurricane-hit people. As the National Water Commission (NWC) struggles to supply much-needed water, Discovery Bauxite has stepped up to deliver clean water from its well in Discovery Bay.

Water trucks have been loading at the facility from a far-off area from Montego Bay, which consists of the Convention Centre that possesses the World Central Kitchen that prepares meals to distribute to the affected area.

People are thanking the company, Discovery Bauxite, for such support during the crisis period. The company cited “We sympathise with the thousands of Jamaicans who have lost lives and homes, and their livelihood as a result of the hurricane, and we will continue to do our part to assist with water and other relief items so long as our pumps are able to carry the additional loads. Our supplies are important to hundreds of persons who travel from local communities and nearby parishes to get water, and we are grateful for the opportunity to be of assistance in this time of national need.”
