Cymat Technologies Ltd. proudly talked about its inaugural order to supply AlusionTM stabilized aluminium foam panels for installation in the prestigious NEOM project, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's monumental endeavour backed by a staggering US$ 500 billion investment.
Cymat's AlusionTM panels are set to play a crucial part in bolstering the aesthetic of the water park situated in the Sindalah district, the first region to be completed within NEOM.
What is Saudi Arabia's NEOM project, and where does Cymat's expertise lie?
The NEOM project, touted as the world's largest construction initiative, encompasses commercial, residential, recreational, and cultural domains. Acting as the gateway to this colossal development, Sindalah is poised to showcase the versatility and innovation of Cymat's aluminium foam panels. The contract, valued at CA$ 725,000, underscores the culmination of years of effort, overcoming significant delays.
Cymat's CEO and Chairman, Michael Liik, asserted: "While this contract is the culmination of several years of work and significant delays, we are excited to finally see our material so prominently utilised in this prestigious international development."
"Cymat has issued AlusionTM quotations for three additional installations in this mega development with a contract value exceeding CA$ 20 million. As well, we anticipate the incorporation of our foam panels into many additional projects in this development in the years to come," he added.

Cymat Technologies Ltd. has the global rights to manufacture and sell Stabilized Aluminum Foam (SAF), a revolutionary, ultra-light, cellular metallic material. The proprietary production process involves injecting gases through a molten bath of alloyed aluminium infused with ceramic particles, resulting in a lightweight, recyclable material with customisable density and dimensions. This advanced material boasts mechanical energy absorption, thermal and acoustic insulation, and insensitivity to time, temperature, and strain rate. Moreover, the continuous foam production process ensures scalability and cost-effectiveness.
How will this benefit the global material-intensive industries like construction?
The application of SAF extends across various industries, including architectural design, military, and automotive. Cymat markets its architectural SAF under the AlusionTM brand and its automotive and military SAF under the SmartMetalTM brand. The incorporation of Cymat's foam panels in the NEOM project aligns with the broader global trend of embracing aluminium for its environmental benefits, emphasising circular economy principles and reduced carbon emissions. As we witness the integration of aluminium in monumental projects like NEOM, it's evident that metal is not just a construction material but a symbol of sustainable progress.
