CRU has launched a new sustainability and emissions service that provides users with a comprehensive view of different commodities through a sustainable perspective.
As the world prioritises sustainability, businesses face new policies and societal expectations, and this service helps them to adapt their operations to meet these requirements while remaining viable. The service covers policy developments, carbon markets, decarbonisation, energy costs, and more, aiming to provide consistent decisions within informed business strategies.

CRU is known for its data excellence and trustworthy methodologies, and this expertise is now being applied through a sustainability lens. The service is available in two tiers: Classic and Premium.
The Head of Sustainability, Mark Jeavons, elaborated on the development: "Sustainability is already driving our markets, but its impact will grow exponentially in the future, impacting commodity supply, demand and pricing. There is no question that successful businesses will be those with the most intelligent and informed decarbonisation strategies, but the sooner the strategies are implemented, the better."
"However, this is easier said than done, and so many of the sustainability data sources available today are incomplete, with gaps, lack of detail and limited transparency. We believe we can meet that market need for insight, as we have done so for more than 50 years in the commodities space through our analysis and consultancy," Jeavons added.
Classic offers insights into emissions trends, short-term carbon price forecasts, and policy roundups. At the same time, Premium deals with mid and long-term carbon price forecasts, data, and insights on decarbonisation, green technology, and energy markets, and lends direct access to CRU's experts.
