Coors Light, known for its sustainable packaging promoting aluminium and other recyclable materials, has recently launched its new packaging line for the upcoming Leagues Cup, a competition between teams from North America and Mexico. With a new web campaign and themed aluminium packaging, the beer company hopes to capitalise on the sport's expanding popularity in North America. The 16oz aluminium cans are highly recyclable and sustainable at the same time.
Aluminium is a sustainable metal, meaning it can be recycled indefinitely without material loss. Recycling aluminium has never been cheaper, quicker, or more energy-efficient than it is now. Aluminium cans are the most recyclable (and lucrative) of all materials since they are 100% recyclable.
Coors Light, the official beer of the Leagues Cup, is slated to play from start to finish throughout the month-long competition, which involves every club from Major League Soccer and Liga MX, Mexico's top professional league. It all begins amid a hectic week for the sport, with both the Leagues Cup and the international women's competition starting in Australia and New Zealand. And Leagues Cup will benefit from one of the world's best football talents, who currently play for Miami's MLS squad.
“Soccer is on fire right now. The fanbase is growing faster than other sports’ and there’s tons of excitement around Leagues Cup and the women’s tournament. With Leagues Cup, fans will see Coors Light throughout the stadium, on the field and on TV. We will have a highly visible presence for the entire tournament,” said says Maria Shipp, associate marketing manager for Coors Light.
